At TeraView we continuously strive to achieve excellence in meeting our customers' requirements and the industry's call for innovation. Our proprietary Terahertz Pulsed Imaging (TPI™) technology has been recognised across a number of markets and has the potential to speed up medical diagnostics, improve process and quality control in drug development, make semiconductor chip manufacturing more accurate and efficient, improve the understanding of novel materials and more.
We are driven by Enthusiasm and Dedication, and maintain our successful track record by retaining some of the industry's most talented professionals.
Our reputation as the global leader in terahertz technology and innovation has been acknowledged by our clients, industry experts and organisational partners. We are proud to be recognised by major awards programs for our excellence and technology competence. Some of our awards include:
Joule Medal and Prize, 2011
Institute of Physics: 'Dr Arnone has acquired an international reputation for his pioneering work in taking terahertz radiation from a laboratory demonstration to an important, previously unsuspected, diagnostic technique arousing world-wide scientific and industrial interest.' Read full citation.
British Pharmaceutical Conference Science Award, 2008
Awarded to Louise Ho, lead researcher for terahertz pharmaceutical applications at TeraView, for the presentation of the paper: 'Terahertz pulsed imaging as an analytical technique for tablet film coating: monitoring the unit operation and process scale up'; L Ho, R Muller, K C Gordon, P Kleinebudde, M Pepper, T Rades, Y C Shen, P F Taday and J A Zeitler.
The award is given on the basis of the scientific quality, originality and potential impact of the work presented at the "short papers in pharmaceutical analysis" session at the BPC.
Red Herring Europe Top 100, 2005
TeraView was selected as one of the most promising private companies on the Continent in 2005. The Red Herring editorial team selected the company for its potential to impact the research markets with its innovations in harnessing and application of terahertz radiation.
Red Herring's editorial staff rigorously evaluated over 600 private companies in Europe through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.
Global R&D 100 Award, 2004
TeraView Ltd has won the 2004 Global R&D 100 Award in the category for Analytical Instruments for the successful commercialisation of the terahertz light spectrum and the subsequent development of the TPI™ spectra 1000.
The instrument was developed in partnership with Bruker Optics Inc. and became the first commercial terahertz spectrometer capable of performing both transmission and attenuated total reflection (ATR) measurements. Further investment by TeraView has lead to the development of the next generation spectrometer, the TPS Spectra 3000, which utilizes powerful, ultra-fast laser sources and semiconductor based detection systems to supply full access to the 0.06 – 4 THz (2 cm-1 - 120 cm-1) spectral region.
PITTCON Editors' Gold Award, 2004
The prestigious Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (PITTCON) Editors' Gold Award for Best New Product was awarded to TeraView for its TPI™ spectra 1000 Pulsed-time Domain Terahertz Spectrometer.
BusinessWeekly East of England Business Awards, 2002
TeraView has won the 2002 BusinessWeekly East of England Business Award in the category Innovation / High-Tech. The Awards are given every year to leading technology innovation companies by a jury panel that has consistently selected champion companies ahead of their industry curve.
