TPI™ imaga 2000 yields complete 3D – 360° volumetric imaging of intact tablet coatings and cores. TeraView’s TPI™ imaga 2000 is able to determine the thickness, uniformity, distribution and coverage of simple and complex coatings. Structural features such as cracks, dislocations and delaminations in single and multilayer cores are also revealed.
Using this terahertz (THz) imaging system, non-destructive determination of the integrity and performance of finished tablets and cores can be rapidly performed. Traditionally sold as a unique and stand-alone instrument this design has now been integrated into the modular design of TeraView's spectroscopy and imaging instruments, allowing to be bought as an imaging module.
This accessory converts TeraView's spectroscopy and imaging instruments in to a flat-bed imaging system. Samples as large as 100mm x 100mm can be placed in the unit and raster scanned using a software controlled motorized scanning table. Areas up to 80mm x 80mm can be scanned with a user-selected distance between measurement points and up to 3 mm penetration depth.
Using the TeraView supplied Image and Data analysis software, thickness maps and cross sectional images can be generated from the data collected and physical features such as buried cracks, defects and air pockets can be non-destructively detected.
Our 0.8 by 0.8 m external gantry is used to perform THz spectroscopy and imaging on a range of large objects and materials. The emitters and detectors are configured via fibre optics onto the gantry and are easily controlled by the integrated software.
