New terahertz spectrometer from TeraView – filling the 'gap' in the spectroscopy toolkit
CAMBRIDGE, UK –3 March 2008 – TeraView, (www.teraview.com) the global pioneer and leader in terahertz solutions for pharmaceutical, chemical and research industries, has developed a new terahertz spectrometer. Complementing TeraView’s existing range of unique imaging solutions, the Spectra 3000 is the world’s first commercial terahertz spectrometer capable of performing both transmission and attenuated total reflection (ATR) measurements.
TeraView’s proprietary platform uses the terahertz region of the spectrum between light and radio waves and offers the advantage of being non-invasive and non-destructive. Terahertz uniquely provides rapid and accurate chemical and structural identification of materials normally invisible to conventional techniques.
Terahertz radiation interrogates the fundamental vibrations between molecules, providing inter-molecular information previously difficult to obtain.
TeraView’s Spectra 3000 is a unique approach to spectroscopy offering:
